Michael lost his life in June 2006 in a tragic go-kart accident.
Michael lived with his girlfriend Zoe Plume and 7 month old son Kyle.
His family including his parents Susan and Christopher Jones and brothers Robert, 28, Shaun 23, and
Gareth 17, have been left devastated by his tragic death.
Michael played for Tyldesley Rugby Club and loved listening to music. He had a wide and interesting
social life with lots of mates.
He went to St Mary's Catholic School in Astley then left in 2001 to work as a fence erector.

i remember findin out what had happened, i remember it was my first day at my new job and my mum tellin me in the mornin to come straight home when i finshed bt i didnt.... i got a phone call about 6 oclok off my mum askin why i hadnt come home.... then she told me..... i walked straight out of scotts house n went n sat on the field thinkin n cryin just couldnt take it in it still hasnt reely sunk in we stil expect to see u walkin behind zo with kyle....
im sorry for not coming to the funeral i wish i did but i was stupid for having to listen to a prick of a boyfriend.... thank you for coming into all of lives u brightened it up so much and u brought me the most gorgeous cousin i could ask for in kyle hes a lil stunner n doesnt half look like his daddy... i will always remember u walkin round the estate with ure shirt on in a funny way in the summer and all the nites we all used to go on school and behind the shops....got so many memories.
i remember boxin day at uncle grahams n kyle was only a month old n u showed me ure tatto of his name on ure arm... u looked so proud of ur son and we no how much u love zo.. n how much she loves u ....
your a top lad mike and were missin u loads.. we all still think of u .....

i neva knew mike! but i heard loads about him from zo, n wot i heard he was a great dad, n a brilliant boyfriend, im glad wen he was alive he made zoe happier thn i hav ever seen her!!! RIP mike, a massiv part of u still lives on, n thas thru ya baby son, hope ur watchin em from heaven, u will b missed by all, and zoe i love u lots, hope ur ok, miss ya bin a notherner now!! n not a southner!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
